CSI Announces Innovative Solution in CIP 2.0
SPRINGFIELD, MO—At Pack Expo 2013, Central States Industrial (CSI) will launch their newest innovation: CIP 2.0. The new clean-in-place system combines state-of-the-art controls with innovative equipment design to provide food and pharmaceutical processors with the most advanced process cleaning system available.
Utilizing the latest technology from Rockwell Automation, CIP 2.0 precisely controls and records all critical functions and complies fully with S88 and CFR 21 Part 11. Onboard monitoring of valve cycles and motor runtimes also assists with preventative maintenance by drastically reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Plus, with the new 15 inch color touchscreen monitor, maintenance workers can view instructional videos and service manuals, which are stored electronically in the system.
CIP 2.0 also improves running efficiency with the use of high-efficiency pumps, motors, and heat exchangers. An Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755 variable frequency drive provides advanced power control of the pumps and communicates seamlessly with the controller via embedded EtherNet/IP network technology. This allows for more accurate, regulated flow and output of cleaning solution.
