AL-6XN® Alloy: Superaustenitic

Corrosion Resistance
The high strength and corrosion resistance of the AL-6XN alloy makes it a better choice than other Superaustenitic stainless steels and it outperforms conventional duplex stainless steels.

Cost Benefit
AL-6XN is a cost-effective alternative to more expensive nickel-based alloys in applications where excellent formability, weldability, strength, and corrosion resistance are essential.

It has a high return on investment compared to 300 series stainless steels. Considering factors such as downtime, product loss, and replacements, AL-6XN can provide long-term savings and is significantly less expensive than most of the titanium and nickel based alloys.

Availability
To better serve our customers, CSI holds the largest inventory of AL-6XN corrosion-resistant components available. The AL-6XN experts at CSI are ready to help you reduce your system downtime from corrosion, so contact us today.

Hastelloy Alloys

Hastelloy® C-22®: Nickel Alloy

Corrosion Resistance
Hastelloy C-22 has excellent resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments. When traditional 316L has failed, and AL-6XN has reached its material design limit, then Hastelloy C-22 is the best option. Examples of these corrosive environments include:

  • Chlorides
  • Phosphoric acids
  • Acetic acids
  • Sulfuric acids in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's)
  • Buffer solutions
  • Any other beauty or health product where contamination due to corrosion is an issue

Readily Fabricated
Due to its ductility, Hastelloy® C-22® exhibits superior welding conditions and can be fabricated for process applications in chemical-based industries such as food, beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical.

Availability
To best serve you, CSI keeps a complete line of Nickel alloy Hastelloy® C-22® tubing and fittings in-stock. Contact the Hastelloy experts at CSI to learn more.
