IZMAG Electromagnetic Flow Meter
Applications
The IZMAG electromagnetic flow meter provides accurate flow measurement for conductive liquids and slurries. With no moving parts, the IZMAG provides years of reliable service and maintains high accuracy even with viscous, sticky fluids.
The IZMAG is ideal for applications like milk, cream, beer, tomato paste, sauces, molasses, yogurt, slurries, concentrates, and cleaning solutions. The IZMAG can operate with fluids of any viscosity, flow rates from 314 to 1200 gpm, and temperatures up to 325ºF.
The IZMAG's range of application is very wide, but there are a few limitations. Magmeters are not recommended for applications where the pipe is not full or when the fluid is entrained with air.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The IZMAG, like it's predecessor the IZMS, utilizes the conductive properties of fluids to detect movement. The meter generates a magnetic field, which induces a current in the fluid moving through the field.
Standard Design
It's PFA liner offers increases in pressure, temperature, and aseptic applications when compared to its predecessor, the IZMS. Its compact design and all stainless-steel housing allow the IZMAG to fit in compact spaces and endure harsh cleaning chemicals and environmental extremes. The IZMAG can be configured with an array of advanced features.

HM/HMP Series Turbine Flow Meters
Applications
Anderson-Negele’s HM and HMP Series turbine flow meters are economical, accurate choices for flow measurement. Both are ideal for use with thin, clear fluids like water, vinegar, beer, clear juices, filtered wine, or clean-in-place (CIP) solution. HM/HMP Series meters are available in a range of sizes, which can operate at flow rates from 5 to 250 gpm.
The HM Series is authorized to carry the 3-A symbol, making it a great fit for food, dairy, egg, and beverage applications. The HM can handle aggressive products such as acids, vinegar solutions, brine, and de-ionized water.
The HMP Series life sciences turbine flow meter is designed for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, featuring a variety of USP Class VI material options and design in accordance with ASME-BPE standards. The HMP can handle difficult process requirements such as steam blowdowns and the need to autoclave without difficulty.
Working Principle
Using the proven method of counting the rotation of a turbine within a flowing stream of liquid, these turbine flow meters are not based merely on a modification of an industrial design, but on a design that was created specifically for the sanitary and high purity industries. Non-magnetic sensing of the 316 rotor eliminates the drag other magnetically sensed rotors experience which provides for better metering accuracy and greater longevity.
Standard Design
The HM and HMP Series are constructed of all 316 stainless steel, including the rotor. The durable stainless steel shaft and rulon sleeve bearing eliminate frequent rebuilds. The two-piece design allows for easy access to internals for inspection.

Micro Motion® H Series Hygienic Coriolis Flow Meters
Applications
Micro Motion H Series hygienic Coriolis mass flow meters from Anderson-Negele provide accurate flow measurement for difficult applications, including two-phase flow for batching, loading, and entrained air.
Working Principle
The basic operation of Coriolis flow meters is based on the principles of motion mechanics. As fluid moves through a vibrating tube, it is forced to accelerate as it moves toward the point of peak-amplitude vibration.
Conversely, decelerating fluid moves away from the point of peak amplitude as it exits the tube. The result is a twisting reaction of the flow tube during flowing conditions as it traverses each vibration cycle.
Standard Design
The Micro Motion H Series hygienic flow meters are designed with rigorous hygienic needs in mind. H Series flow meters are authoized to carry the 3-A symbol, meet ASME-BPE specifications, are EGEDG certified, and self-draining. Additional sanitary models are available to fit a range of applications.

FMQ Magnetic-Inductive Flow Meter
Applications
The FMQ is designed for measuring flow rate and volume in food applications. This 3A compliant flow meter is suitable for liquids, slurries, and pastes in dosing and filling applications.
Features
- Stainless steel sensor
- Vacuum tight and piggable
- IO-Link digital communication
- Automatic empty pipe detection
- Rotatable housing with Illuminated graphic display
Working Principle
Utilizing Faraday's law of induction, this flow meter measures the voltage created by the process media flowing across two field coils producing a magnetic field. The voltage is measured by stainless steel electrodes and is directly proportional to the flow rate. This can be expressed as the flow volume using the nominal tube width.
AE Air Eliminator
Applications
The AE air eliminator from Anderson-Negele solves many of the problems associated with the presence of air or gas in pumped liquids. Line vibration due to two-phase flow, poor flow meter measurement accuracy, and issues with product quality just are a few of the more common negative effects of gas presence in a liquid.
Working Principle
The AE is designed to remove air or gas from product streams. When located after the pumping device in a positive pressure line, product enters at a tangent to the wall of the vessel, the resultant force stratifies the incoming product, putting the heavier liquid towards the wall with the lighter aerated product separating towards the center. This separation is then completed by allowing only the liquid at the outer wall to exit the vessel at the bottom located outlet.
FTS-141/FTS-741 Calorimetric Flow Switch
Applications
FTS-141 and FTS-741 calorimetric flow switches from Anderson-Negele measure low particulate liquids that are aqueous (having water content greater than 50%) and that do not have medium temperatures above 212°F. Both FTS flow switches are suitable for dry-run protection or for monitoring filters, agitators, or cooling loops.
Working Principle
The functional principle of the FTS calorimetric flow monitor is based on a temperature sensor mounted on the sensor tip that is periodically heated by a heating element. When the medium is stationary, a constant temperature difference ΔT arises between the heated and unheated state. When the medium flows, heat energy is withdrawn from the heated temperature sensor and the temperature difference changes in relation to the flow rate.
