Standard Progressive Cavity Drum Pump
WORKING PRINCIPLE

The progressive cavity design provides gentle handling of products that are either too viscous or sensitive to shearing for use with other pump styles. Product is gently carried through moving cavities created by the pump's screw-like rotor. The stainless rotor creates a tight seal against a PTFE or white Buna stator, making operation at pressures up to 174 psi possible. The SP-800 series' unique design enables operators to quickly disassemble the pump for cleaning.

STANDARD DESIGN FEATURES

The SP-800 Series pumps are 3-A compliant and third party verified (TPV). The hygienic design makes the pumps easy to clean and maintain. The SP-800 Series pumps provide gentle product treatment and continuous flow.

APPLICATION

The SP-800 Series pumps are designed to handle more viscous products and much higher pressures than their centrifugal design counterparts. The design is also allows for gentle product handling, making it ideal for shear-sensitive products, or those with large particles. These pumps are geared toward the removal of product from drums, totes, tanks, and kettles. Common applications include pie fillings, juice concentrates, sauces, chocolate, lotions, and shampoo.

MATERIALS

All product wetted materials are 316L stainless steel with either a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or white Buna stator available.
