Dry disconnect couplings utilize a two-part design. Together, the coupler and adapter portions operate as a shutoff valve, facilitating liquid transfer in applications like bulk unloading. When the valve is closed, the two portions can be separated without any drips or product loss.

Standard Design
Dry Link sanitary couplings are the only true sanitary, drip-free couplings currently available. Their simple butterfly design is sanitary and cleanable, and the smooth mirror-polished bore has no voids, dead spaces, crevices, or fillers that could trap bacteria. Easily drainable and sanitized using steam or other methods such as clean-in-place (CIP) or sterilization-in-place (SIP), Dry Link sanitary couplings are routinely specified in pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, food, and cosmetic industries where ultra cleanliness is required.Standard sanitary couplings are supplied with Tri-Clover® ends and with wetted internal components polished to 20 RA micro-inch (0.50 RA micron) mirror finish. A wide choice of sizes, body, and seal materials, end connections and with full material test certifications (MTR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) certifications are available. Additional options include extra fine inside polish and outside polish to matte finish.
